Kathy, Mark and Burk take a look at Mike Flanagan’s new “Haunting” series. The follow-up to THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE. This time we’re in the 80s, and it’s Bly Manor that’s being beset by spectral shenanigans. THE HAUNTING OF BLY MANOR is a sort of old-school haunted house series that starts off like a standard nanny being tasked with caring for a couple of somewhat sketchy children in a big, dark old house… but it goes from there into some interesting territories and introduces us to the various issues and struggles and torments that can manifest the emotional states that supernatural beings seem to really love. It’s a slow burn, but stick with it, because once it gets rolling, it’s really a great choice for a binge around this time of year. This one really has the Halloween spirit and some scares and surprises and twists. Listen in and see what our theories are.
