Ep 120: Nick Szostakiwskyj

Our special guest, director NICK SZOSTAKIWSKYJ, talks with us about a couple of films that he wrote and directed, BLACK MOUNTAIN SIDE and ARCHONS, two finely-crafted horror films that were shot in the beautiful wilds of Canada and in realms beyond comprehension. Despite low budgets, these films deliver on the quality of production, casting, story and everything else. BLACK MOUNTAIN SIDE takes us to a remote archeological site where an ancient structure is uncovered in a layer of strata where it doesn’t belong… and something is evidently awakened. ARCHONS takes us along on a river adventure that starts out as a trip into self-discovery, but as will happen.. things go awry. Like horribly awry. Films filled with clever ideas and intelligent details. Both will reward you on multiple viewings, and Nick takes us inside the production and the inspiration and the adventures behind the adventures.
