A STRANGE MESSAGE FROM THE PEOPLE IN THE SKY

Kathy, Mark and Burk take a close look at a low-budget film that takes us from the inner mind to the Paradox Theater. THE VAST OF NIGHT is a new film with an old vibe, and it proves that you don’t need a huge budget to tell an ambitious period story. This film is set in the late 50s and deals with the kinds of science fiction scares that were giving people the creeps in those days of sputniks and atoms and vacuum tubes. We’re introduced to a couple of young people who may or may not be listening in on communications from those people up there in the sky. It’s moody, contained and mysterious, and definitely worth a look.
